Destroy Me Lover is a record colored almost entirely by guitar feedback; Scott Ayers orchestrates the Pain Teens' songs around his instrument's hums, wails and screeches so completely that when he actually plays actual notes, the effect is one of surprise. There's a singer -- Bliss Blood -- here too, but she becomes so entangled in the sonic undertow that her contributions are negligible at best.
